Sticker 7 Wadebridge 3
Sticker entertained visitors Wadebridge to-night who had two ex sticker players in the team namely Liam Dingle and Lewis Prince but they could do nothing to stop the the rampant Sticker team from rattling in four first half goals from Mike Body, Jack Bowyer(2) and Andrew Butler.H/T.
The Second half started and Wadebridge quickly pulled a goal back to make it 4-1 before Mike Body once again scored 5-1. Sticker playing deeper this half allowed Wadebridge more of the ball and they scored with a powerful header from a corner 5-2.
Sticker made use of some substitutions bringing on Frank McAvoy in place of the impressive Ben Rosevear who had a fine game making great use of the ball to find Jason Rogers and Andrew Butler time and time again. Joel Cockings also on in place of Sam Marchant and although not his favoured position in midfield will get more used to it with game time. Finally Jay Hill on for Matt Lloyd and it was he who sped past the defence after a superb ball over the top and he got to the byeline and at the second attempt crossed the ball for Jack Bowyer to tap in for his first hat trick of the season.6-2. Wadebridge got a final consolation goal when a deflected shot beat Andy Avery in goal. 6-3. Then in the dying minutes one of the most bizarre goals ever seen at Burngullow park where the Wadebridge skipper passed the ball back to his keeper with some pace and he misjudged it and watched the ball roll into the net! 7-3.F/T. Andrew and Gary will no doubt be pleased with this improved performance posting their first win of this season and hopefully will continue in their next home game against Vospers this coming Saturday.
